This just in — garbage smells!!

garbage noteThis is a genuine sign from one of my correspondents in the field. Seems her landlord is not happy about the smells emanating from his tenants’ garbage and would rather tenants place the more smelly contents outside in one of the city’s trash cans.

There’s just one problem with this suggestion — it’s against the law and if the tenants or the landlord were caught doing this, there would be a big fine. It’s hard to imagine what’s behind this guy’s ire. I mean it’s garbage and it’s in the basement and it smells. Sounds like the natural order of things to me.

But I would love to have a hidden video camera on “John” as he searches for the “stenched items.” Now that would be sweet!

New Yorkers can be so sensitive sometimes. First, no smoking in apartments. Now, no smelly garbage in the trash!!

no, it actually really stunk up the entire 5 story building to the point where i was gagging just being in the hallways. this was not from regular garbage, this was from someone throwing unfinished food in the open garbage container. i, however, will NOT be going through the garbage to find out who is doing it.
