I love snow days in NYC…
…and this is a whopper. We’ve been hit by near white-out conditions. I know it’s never that bad in Manhattan where the snow seems never to stick but the snow is quite deep in Brooklyn and the other boroughs. I took this photo this morning outside my house; it’s the deepest snow I’ve seen all season.
Wish I didn’t have to go into work but I do. (sigh)
I long for those old days when I would just take my kids to the park and go sledding or snowboarding down the big hill. I would tell those parents who still have little kids to enjoy those days while you can because they grow up way too fast. Sometimes it feels like a hassle with all those gloves and hats and sniffles but have fun while the snow shines. It melts all too soon…..
Ah, yes, Paul. For parents of young kids, the days are long — but the years are short!
I KNEW you’d have a snow posting with appropriate pix.. and you did not disappoint.. Tx and enjoy it all, even without the sledding in the park.
